There are two types of Roof Tiles – clay and concrete. Tile is a great choice for homes with a southwestern, Italian or Spanish mission design, or for today’s modern homes desiring a clean distinctive look.
Tile Roofing has longer lifespan than most other materials and is flame retardant while resisting insects and rot. The main drawback is the weight of a clay or concrete tile roof, thus sometimes requiring additional support to hold the weight of the roof. Tiles can also be fabricated to resemble wood shakes or slate.
